Reboundpercentage (Rebound Percentage)

Updated on 03 Oct 2023

Reboundpercentage, also referred to as rebound percentage, is a statistical measure in korfball that reflects the ability of a player or team to successfully retrieve the ball after a missed shot. It indicates the proportion of offensive rebounds obtained out of the total number of missed shots. To calculate reboundpercentage, the number of offensive rebounds is divided by the total number of missed shots and multiplied by 100 to express it as a percentage. For example, if a player retrieves 57 offensive rebounds out of 100 missed shots, their reboundpercentage would be 57%. Reboundpercentage is a crucial factor in determining the overall aanvalsrendement (attack efficiency) of a team. A higher reboundpercentage signifies a better ability to retrieve missed shots and creates more scoring opportunities. Coaches and players focus on improving rebound percentage through positioning, timing, and technique, as it directly impacts the team's offensive performance and overall success.
