Aanvalsrendement (Attack Efficiency)
Updated on 03 Oct 2023
Aanvalsrendement, also known as attack efficiency, is a key performance metric in korfball that indicates the effectiveness of an attacking position or unit in scoring goals. It represents the ratio of goals scored to the number of attacks conducted by a team. A higher aanvalsrendement signifies a more successful attacking performance.
To calculate aanvalsrendement, the number of goals scored is divided by the total number of attacks. For example, if a team scores 16 goals in 31 attacks, their aanvalsrendement would be approximately 52%. This indicates that every 1 out of 2 attacks results in a goal.
Aanvalsrendement is influenced by various factors such as shooting percentage, rebound percentage, and ball loss percentage. By analyzing these underlying metrics, teams can identify areas for improvement and optimize their attacking strategies.
Coaches, players, and analysts rely on aanvalsrendement to evaluate and enhance offensive performance, aiming to achieve higher success rates and ultimately win matches.
